Masters Scholarships 2023-24- Hungary Government
The government of Hungary provides international students with fully funded scholarships each year for master’s programmes. One of the most esteemed scholarships in Europe is the Stipendium Hungaricum fully funded scholarship. The primary goals of the scholarship are to promote the globalisation of higher education in Hungary, foster its ongoing development, and bolster the connections between the global academic and research communities. Additionally, to promote the international recognition and excellence of Hungarian higher education. The program, which was established by the government of Hungary in 2013, is overseen by the ministry of foreign affairs and trade and run by the Tempus Public Foundation.
International students can apply for Hungary Government (Stipendium Hungaricum) Scholarships 2023-24. The scholarship permits enrollment in Masters-level programmes in any subject area offered by Hungary’s universities. The scholarship’s application deadline is open.

Benefits of Scholarship
- students will receive a monthly stipend of HUF 43,700 (roughly EUR 120) as a contribution to their living expenses in Hungary for a period of 12 months, up until the end of their studies.
- Accommodation contribution – free dormitory place or a contribution of HUF 40,000/month to accommodation costs for the whole duration of the scholarship period
- Health care services provided in accordance with applicable Hungarian law (Act LXXX of 1997, national health insurance card), as well as supplemental medical insurance for up to HUF 65 000 (approximately 180 EUR) per person per year.
Please remember that these provisions only serve to offset some of the Scholarship Holders’ living expenses. . This means that it does not entirely cover all the costs of living and the students must supplement it with their own financial resources. All applicants are strongly advised to research the anticipated living expenses in both Hungary and the city they wish to live in before applying.
