Funded Scholarships for Master’s degrees in Computer Science by the French Embassy in Nigeria for studies in France in 2023/2024.
In order to support Masters degrees at French universities for the academic year 2023/2024, the French Embassy in Nigeria is introducing a new scholarship program. For such scholars who want to pursue computer science-related studies, five grants will be offered.
The French Embassy as well as Campus France Nigeria are initiating this program with funding provided by the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs in association with the French Ministry for Research and Higher Education.

Benefits of the scholarship
If the student is accepted into M1, the scholarship will cover two academic years; if they are accepted into M2, it will cover one academic year. It provides transportation, a monthly stipend, help and support in locating student accommodation that is cost effective, and medical insurance for the duration of the program. The scholarship recipients are expected to pay for their own tuition.
Requirements for Eligibility
- Applicant must be of Nigerian nationality, live and work there
- Age limit up to 35
- Possess a bachelor’s degree or a higher national diploma in science, engineering, or technology
- Applicant must have completed the National youth service
- Be ready to take a course of study in France beginning in September/October 2023/2024.
- Application does not require knowledge of French.
Requisite
- A duplicate of the data page from your passport, which must be valid for at least two (2) years internationally.
- Comprehensive resume Cover letter
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
- University transcript
- Letter of recommendation from your institution (not compulsory but highly recommended)
Application Timelines you should know
- The enrollment period is open from March 17 through April 16 at 11:59 p.m. Nigerian time.
- Application deadline is April 16th.
- On March 17, a webinar will give students all the necessary information to get their applications ready.
- On May 8, 2023, the qualified candidates will be interviewed.
- May 17, 2023, Information for the host university in France regarding results
- Arrival in France in September/October 2023
Candidates should be aware that the Campus France Nigeria offices in Lagos and Abuja are the only places to find out information about the France Nigeria Scholarship Program. There is no processing charge associated with this particular application.
